ACFM Subsea Inspection System for the Detection and Sizing of Surface-breaking Cracks
For the last 30 years, technology has been used globally as the method of choice for the detection and sizing of subsea surface-breaking cracks. Recognized and approved by many certification bodies, including DNV, ABS and Loylds, the technique has been used successfully against traditional uncomputerized and more user dependent methods, such as MPI.

As today’s industry is looking to scale the use of auditable NDT methods to all their assets, faster, more flexible, easier to deploy inspections and better reporting capabilities are required. Who else but Eddyfi Technologies to redefine and modernize subsea crack inspection with its new TSC U41.

PACE has been developed to offer operators a robust, single user ACFM instrument with ergonomic design features enabling easy operation, with left or right hand use. The large, high contrast, strengthened LCD screen is ideal for sunlight viewing and the unit is sealed to IP65. Supported by long battery life, PACE is the ideal on-site inspection solution for topside crack detection.

Enhanced software enables the creation and delivery of inspection reports detailing defect sizes, locations and scans. The on-board camera enriches reports, giving inspectors the option to use detailed imagery from the inspection site.

TSC Amigo2 is engineered around a highly advanced signal acquisition and processing system able to process data significantly faster than the original Amigo, for a data range that’s 14 times better. This offers you smoother, higher resolution indications that increase the detectability of small defects and the coating thickness through which you can inspect.

Amigo2 features a Sensu2 connector which will be used by a new generation of ACFM probes—manual or array. The Sensu2 connector supports up to eight digital inputs for high-speed, large-array applications. Together, Amigo2 and its Assist software are fully designed and ready to support the evolution of ACFM probes.
