The BARPROOF is featuring precise non-destructive testing of your bars using phased-array ultrasound.
Well balanced probe sets with high sensitivity detecting smallest internal defects as well as surface and near-surface defects on bars with bright and hot-rolled surfaces.

A selection of different probe sets ensures maximum flexibility: the BARPROOF 140 covers a diameter range from 10 to 140 mm in just one housing size.

CIRCOGRAPH Rotating Heads

Applications such as the rewinding of tubes in copper tube production or wire drawing require a rotating sensor system that can cope with the high throughput speed. The rotating heads Ro 20 F and Ro 40 F were specially developed for such applications. The powerful, multi-channel rotating heads are designed for tubes, rods and wires with a material diameter of 2 – 40 mm. They allow for sensitive detection of longitudinal defects in the material surface. Defects starting with a depth of approx. 30 μm can be displayed in their full length and with high resolution.

CIRCOGRAPH Sensor Systems

The CIRCOGRAPH sensor systems can display even the smallest material flaws from approx. 30 µm defect depth in high resolution along its full length. From fine wire with a diameter of 2 mm to tubes with a diameter of 130 mm, the sensors cover all requirements in the bright steel range. The probes rotate at a high speed around the test piece and scan its surface in a helical manner without making contact. This method creates high throughput of up to 3 m/s and continuous testing. The CIRCOGRAPH DI ensures the same test quality as the CIRCOGRAPH CI with the basic functions, but this system does not have an integrated control computer. Optionally, the CIRCOGRAPH DI can be upgraded with additional functions, such as an archiving.

Operation, administration and archiving are carried out via an externally connected control computer. The system ensures a precise inspection of semifinished products for longitudinally oriented defects on the material surface. The different sensor systems ensure an optimal adaptation to the test task. Due to the compact design of the CIRCOGRAPH DI it is possible to integrate in almost any production line.
