<p><strong>Application</strong><br />
The innovative dual-use instrument measures wall thickness and sound velocities and convinces due to state-of-the-art manufacturing technology, modern design and an attractive pricing.</p>
<div id="radePasteHelper">Thanks to its easy operation via a user-friendly plain text menu the ECHOMETER 1076 Basic is suitable for quality control on the shop floor as well as for measurement of containers or pipelines which are possibly corroded inside.</div>

<div id="radePasteHelper">The measuring range for the ECHOMETER 1076 Basic covers 0.5 to 400 mm wall thickness (depending on the probe). For the measurement of the sound velocity, all materials between 100 to 20,000 m/s can be inspected.</div>
<p><strong>Probes</strong></p>
<div id="radePasteHelper">The ECHOMETER 1076 Basic uses TR probes. In addition to the standard probe for the most common wall thickness values from 1.2 to 250 mm, a high resolution probe for thin-walled components from 0.5 to 25 mm and a low-frequency probe for wall thickness values up to 400 mm are available. The instrument identifies the connected probe type automatically when it is placed on the specimen or on the reference block, which is inserted in the front cover of the housing. Differences in sensitivity and characteristics are compensated automatically.</div>
<p><strong>Menu </strong><br />
The user-friendly plain text menu is shown on a large, back-lit graphics display.</p>
<p><strong>Versatile and robust</strong></p>
<div id="radePasteHelper">Compact dimensions of the gauge (13.1 cm x 8.1 cm x 3.2 cm, incl. rubber safety holster), a low power consumption for a long battery service time make the ECHOMETER 1076 Basic a versatile tool for everyday use. The splash-proof and robust instrument only weighs 150 g and even can be operated conveniently with one hand. Additional protection of the instrument is ensured by a rubber holster which also provides skid resistance during operation and which offers an integrated support for an angled positioning. A functional carrying case (left, example of equipment) is part of the scope of delivery.</div>

<p>Beside the graphic presentation of the B-Scan, we are storing up to 160 values of a B-Scan. (high resolution screen of the 1077 is 320 pixel wide)</p>
<p>There are 2 principle B-Scan graphic presentations: “without limits” and “limits set”.</p>
<p><strong>Depth range:</strong><br />
&#8211; depth range is automatically set up from “zero” to “maximum” of readings<br />
(automatic scaling of y-axis).<br />
&#8211; Minimum can be set by the operator from “zero” to another value.<br />
&#8211; Maximum can be set also by the operator from automatic scaling (“maximum” of readings”) to a different value.</p>
<p><strong>Scanning rate:</strong><br />
&#8211; scanning rate is selectable: 1 Hz – 5 Hz – 10 Hz.<br />
(scanning rate is depending on the drawing speed, which takes longer on a<br />
coloured high-resolution screen than on a simple low-resolution black/white screen).<br />
&#8211; standard PRF is still 100 Hz and will be used to store averaged scan values.</p>
<p><strong>Trigger:</strong><br />
&#8211; manual start/stop for enabling/disabling scan modus.<br />
&#8211; measurement reading stops if probe is not coupled and continues if probe is<br />
coupled again.</p>
<p><strong>Additional information presentation on Screen</strong><br />
&#8211; current reading.(at the bottom right) is of course implemented.<br />
&#8211; y-scale (in mm or inch) is not planned at the moment (reduces space for B-Scan graphic!).<br />
&#8211; x-scale (time based or in future in combination with encoder in mm) is not planned. (reduces space for B-Scan graphic!)</p>

<p>Using the standard method (TP-BE mode) for measurement of wall thickness and sound velocity the probe is placed on the uncoated surface of the material.</p>
<p>The ECHOMETER 1076 TC offers more: Varnish or plastics coatings up to 4 mm thickness can be blanked out so you can measure highly precise also through the coating. Then the measuring result is calculated by means of successive back wall echoes.</p>
